Description
Black Walnut, hickory and pecan are cousins in the tree world. If hickory was normal, pecan would be the mild, sweet aunt and black walnut the “in your face” cousin!
Black walnut is very intense and strong smoke flavor. Wonderful for adding a hickory-ish smoke taste to steak and burgers. Too strong for low and slow smoking.
